Metabolic product of aflatoxin B1.
Aflatoxin M1 is the main metabolic product which is produced in the liver from Aflatoxin B1. M1 is a Group 2B carcinogen (possibly carcinogenic to humans) present in the milk of lactating mammals that ingest food contaminated with aflatoxin B1.
